Shelley about herself:
I most often see patients with anxiety and depression but can work with most diagnostic categories. I am comfortable working with individuals and families across the lifespan. Work with young people often involves parents’ participation in family oriented therapy. I am very comfortable with a faith based approach, but can maintain a more “scientific” approach for those who prefer it. I also enjoy working with people coping with transitions including mid-life changes. I try to offer others the quality of care and compassion I would hope to receive from a therapist. This means providing a safe and supportive atmosphere for patients to learn, to understand themselves and their situation in order to grow and change.
I work to keep learning and updating my professional knowledge to create practical tools to make patients more powerful in their own lives.
